Dr. Pervaiz grew up in Manchester, UK where he completed his Ph.D. from University of Manchester.
He has fifteen years of experience in Education and has held Leadership roles in Science Department in UK and US schools. He has a proven track record of excellent test/exam results and organizing and running successful summer camps. He has expereince in delivering training, workshops and mentoring teachers under training. He works tirelessly with teachers, parents and students for the benefits of all students. He is very professional in the day-to-day dealings with parents and staff and has an open door policy when anybody wants to approach. He makes sure that parents and teachers are involved in all aspects of the student’s learning and build a strong links with the community.

Dr. Pervaiz Iqbal
Sr. Razmina was raised and educated in New York, majoring in Political Science. She taught at an Islamic school for three years before moving to Georgia. During the 2013-2014 school year, she taught third and fifth grade at Hamzah Academy. She is currently handling many affairs at the school as an admin assistant. She really appreciates being able to work in an Islamic environment, surrounded by others who are driven and passionate about creating a nurturing and loving environment for our little scholars. Manal Elshimy joined us this year as Toddler Lead Teacher and Assistant Director. Sr. Manal graduated from Cairo University in Egypt with a Bachelor degree in accounting, and has earned multiple child education certifications in the United States. With over 13 years of experience in early childhood education, Sr. Manal is extremely capable of planning and implementing activities that promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of children. She is a wife and a mother of three children. She likes to spend her free time with her family.

Ashley Robidoux is an American revert to Islam and a Human Services professional born and raised in Western Massachusetts. Ashley has over 10 years of experience working with people of all ages from infants to the elderly, but finds that she enjoys working with children the most! She has worked as a mental health counselor in the community for many years and had the opportunity to work on the Child Psych Unit where she facilitated therapeutic groups and worked intensively one to one with children struggling with psychiatric impairment. Ashley has also been a child care assistant for a family owned daycare where she provided structured learning activities and supervision for children up to age 5. She has also helped as a nanny for several families over the years. She loves working with children due to their wonder, creativity and eagerness to learn and explore.

Lina Thabet is thrilled to work with the bright young minds. She loves her Pre-K friends and looks forward to a fun-filled learning year. She is wonderful at motivating children to incorporate sound islamic and academic principles in a safe and loving environment. She has been with Hamzah Academy since 2012 and is currently a substitute teacher at ILM Academy. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Child Care Education. Her goal is to strengthen our children’s Islamic values such as kindness, patience, care and respect for others insha Allah. Along with this, she also focuses on academic essentials such as Arabic and Quran. Students enjoy learning a great amount in this class. Shaima Hashmi is pleased to be your child’s Kindergarten teacher. She has a great passion for working with children. After moving to Georgia, Sr. Shaima ran a successful daycare for several years. Her goal as a teacher has always been to instill the love of learning for all of her students and she promises your child will learn something new every day. Some days they will bring it home in their hands, some days in their heads and some days they will bring it in their hearts, Insha Allah! She comes from a family of educationists. In Pakistan, she obtained a Master’s Degree in Housing, Home Management and Interior Design, from College of Home Economics in Lahore. Right after graduating, she was privileged to have been offered a job as lecturer in the same institute she studied in. There, she taught Management, Economics, and Perspective Drawings for seven years. After moving to England, she actively volunteered in Reading class at her daughter’s school. She has had the opportunity to live in Saudi Arabia where she taught fourth and fifth grade. We are lucky to have Sr. Shaima on board at Hamzah Academy!

Sr. Nahida is very conscientious about the development of children. She will be an Assistant Teacher for KG and will be teaching Arabic as well. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in English/Arabic translation from Damascus University in Syria. MashaAllah, she has twenty-four years of teaching experience as an Arabic, Islamic studies, Quran and English teacher. This will be her fourth year at Hamzah Academy with her motivation to improve students’ performance and making her relationship strong with them.

Nahida Abu Adas
Sumya Tariq teaches first grade here at Hamzah Academy. This will be her fifth year of teaching at Hamzah. She was raised and educated in New York City. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Science from Nassau Community College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications Disorders from Queens College. She has over ten years of experience in the education system, both in the public and private sectors, ranging from Pre-K to elementary school aged children. Sr. Sumya is dedicated to ensuring that each child grows academically and socially in a nurturing, warm and safe environment. Her education philosophy centers on her belief that each student should be actively involved in their educational process.

Noorulain Syed has a Bachelor's of Arts in Elementary Education from Concordia University in St. Paul, Minnesota. She also has Montessori Training from the Midwest Montessori Training Center in Illinois. Sr. Noorulain is certified by the State of Georgia for grades Pre-K through fifth. She is currently enrolled in a reading endorsement program at Kennesaw State University. She has been working with children for over 8 years now. She has experience working with the public school system as well as private schools. She has taught grades Pre-K to 6th in various settings. Sr. Noorulain believes in creating a classroom environment for children that will foster trust between teacher and children, love for learning, challenge curious minds, and providing opportunities for busy bodies to engage in meaningful activities. Her passion for teaching reflects in her classroom practices and teaching philosophy. In her free time, she enjoys spending time at the park with her family, dining out, and reading.

Khelda Javaid was born in Pakistan and graduated from the University Bahawalpur in Pakistan with a degree in Education. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Arabic. She lived in Canada where she was a teacher for Pre-K students. After moving to Atlanta, she worked with Georgia Pre-K students for three years and she also has also been working as a substitute in elementary schools for the past two years. She has also done lots of volunteer work at elementary schools throughout her life. She actively participated in extracurricular activities during her student life and continues to have a deep interest in religious education. She frequently attends lectures and courses to improve and strengthen her knowledge of Islam. Sr Khelda has four children also spends a lot of time volunteering at their school and helping them with their own extracurricular activities. In her free time she likes to spend time with her family, garden, cook, and read books. She strongly believes that parents play a very important role in the formal education and training of their children. The school and home are two primary intuitions responsible for the nurturing and education of our children. It is her goal is to help the students develop a strong Islamic personality through the teaching of Islamic values.

Hanan Abotones is from Hoon, Libya. There, she taught Arabic as a language, and Quran at Hoon High School and at Al-Rouad Elementary. She loves children, and she is very passionate about teaching them the language of the Quran. It is her goal to make learning fun for her students so they are motivated to learn. She believes it is essential for parents and teachers to work together in educating children, and strongly feels that learning starts from home. She has a bachelor’s degree in the Arabic language and Islamic studies from the University of Khaleij Sert in Libya and a CDA (Child Development Associate) from Atlanta, Georgia. She has six years of teaching experience in Libya and 8 years in Atlanta, Georgia. She has also taught at RCM Kalimat-ul-Quran Program and Green Apple School. Here, at Hamzah Academy, she has been teaching Arabic and Quran for the past five years. This is her sixth year as an elementary Quran and Arabic teacher. She enjoys playing volleyball, tennis table and her hobby is Arabic calligraphy.
